Adipurush is the tale of Lord Rama aka Raghava, who travels all the way to Lanka to rescue his wife Sita aka Janaki from Lankesh. This epic from the Indian Ramayana written by Valmiki, has been adopted for the silver screen once again.

This time, the movie was made with pan-India star Prabhas on a massive budget by director Om Raut. The movie, whose pre-release event in Tirupati was a huge success, is getting ready to roar on the big screens all over the world on June 16.

Prabhas, who won international acclaim through Baahubali 1 & 2 is trying to surpass his previous records with this prestigious film, backed by Bhushan of T-Series, along with other producers including Om Raut.

Adipurush Budget

The movie, which was made as a Telugu and Hindi bilingual was dubbed into three other major Indian languages. Adipurush was made on a budget of Rs 550 Crore.

The movie is one of the much-awaited films of the year. The buzz around booking is getting bigger and the sales shot up once again, with just a week for its grand and worldwide theatrical release.

According to the available information, the advance booking sales of Adipurush have shot up massively overseas, especially in the USA.

So far, as the Twitter fan page suggests, Prabhas' Adipurush has sold about 9900 tickets, making a collection of $220K.

Adipurush Cast

The movie stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage, Vatsal Sheth, Sonal Chauhan, and Trupti Toradmal as key characters in the movie based on the epic Ramayana.

Adipurush Crew

The film's screenplay was written by Om Raut, who helmed the movie. Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair are producing the movie under the T-Series Films and Retrophiles banners.

Karthik Palani cranked the camera for the film which was edited by Apurva Motiwale Sahai. The film's background score was composed by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara while the songs are tuned by Ajay-Atul and Sachet-Parampara.
