Prabhas-starrer Adipurush, directed by Om Raut hit the screens worldwide in five languages amid huge fanfare on June 16. The movie turned out to be a disappointing venture for the budget and the scale it was helmed on.

Prabhas, who hit the global recognition for Baahubali 1 & 2 has been only doing high-budget films with leading directors and production houses ever since. The actor's much-celebrated film was Adipurush and ironically, the movie became a laughing stock after its theatrical release. People called out several aspects that went wrong in the film, including the creative liberty that crushed the soul of the epic Ramayana, a religious tale.

Adipurush Cast

In the movie based on the Indian mythological epic Ramayana, Prabhas played the role of Raghava, and Kriti Sanon was seen in the character of Janaki. Saif Ali Khan played the Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, Devdatta Nage as Bajrang, and Vatsal Sheth as Indrajit. In addition, actresses Sonal Chauhan and Trupti Toradmal played important roles in the film.

Adipurush is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair under the T-Series Films and Retrophiles banner. The movie's cinematography was handled by Karthik Palani, and Editing was done by Apurva Motiwale Sahai and Ashish Mhatre together.

While Adipurush's background score was rendered by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara, the movie's tunes and songs are composed by Ajay-Atul and Sachet-Parampara.
