Reeling Under A Series Of Flops, Mangalorean Beauty Krithi Shetty Pins All Hopes On Her Upcoming Projects!

Krithi Shetty is one of the fewest actresses in Tollywood that rose to overnight stardom after her first single 'Nee Navvu Neeli Samudram' from her Telugu debut 'Uppena' was released. The movie written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana stars Panja Vaisshnav Tej as the lead actor. Uppena is the debut of the actor and actress along with the director. It did well at the box office making her a star in the industry and a talent to look forward to.

After the release of Uppena, Krithi Shetty, the 19-year-old was flooded with offers. The undeniable factor that she looks quite mature for her age brought her the much-needed opportunities to star alongside seasoned actors like Natural star Nani, Nithiin, Ram Pothineni, and Naga Chaitanya among others in a short time.

After the song from Uppena went viral, the two Telugu-speaking states and the south-Indian industries have gone crazy for Krithi Shetty for her bubbly, girl-next-door image and smile. Her performance in the film is also widely appreciated by critics and moviegoers. Born in Mumbai to Mangalorean parents, the actress was first seen in the role of a student in Hrithik Roshan's Super 30. Her other films Bangarraju and Shyam Singha Roy did moderately well. In both these films, Krithi was one of the two female lead characters and not a solo heroine.

Streak of flops

Krithi Shetty signed all the crazy projects with star heroes that came her way irrespective of several other factors. As a result, within a short span, she has done movies with young generation actors but none of them were helpful for her career. After Bangarraju, which was a moderate hit at the Telugu box office, her first bilingual film The Warriorr with Ram Pothineni proved to be unsuccessful. Then followed Macherla Niyojakavargam with Nithiin, and Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali with Nitro star Sudheer Babu.

Work Front

Other than a Malayalam film titled Ajayante Randam Moshanam, Krithi Shetty is not part of any other projects in the south. This movie is currently under filming. Krithi is said to have been listening to several other scripts and this time want to make a cautious move to further her career.
