After Balagam, Comedian Venu Tillu Gets Another Opportunity To Direct A Film Under THIS Big Production House!

Comedian Venu Yeldandi aka Venu Tillu has hit the bull's eye as a director with his first film titled Balagam. The movie was released on March 3 to wide positive acclaim. The film has been categorized as an indie-style Telugu drama on the likes of Care of Kancharapalem and Mallesam by critics.
Balagam, which came out as a run-of-the-mill Friday release has left the Telugu film industry surprised with the word of mouth and positive reviews. The film producers hosted a preview show a day before its theatrical release and the reviews have come out in favour, helping the first-day collections of the movie. Otherwise, the movie had no buzz before its release and people only knew Priyadarshi, the lead actor in the movie.

Venu was once the most chosen comedian in the industry. He is known for his role 'Tillu' in Prabhas's Munna released in 2007. Vamshi Paidipally is the director of the film which was produced by ace producer Dil Raju. Venu's Balagam is presented by Sirish under the banner of Dil Raju Productions, headed by Raju's daughter Hanshitha Reddy, who also co-produced Samantha's upcoming film Shaakuntalam.
As per the latest reports, Venu's career as a director looks quite promising as Dil Raju is ready to give him an opportunity again. Reports suggest that Venu's next movie starring a popular hero will be produced by Dil Raju's home banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Balagam is doing good at the box office till the weekend and it is expected to have a few more weeks of a successful run in the theatres given the response it enjoys currently. The film's OTT rights were sold out to Amazon Prime Video.
Priyadarshi is also winning accolades for his portrayal of the role of an underdog Sailu, an unemployed youth in rural Telangana. Bheems Cecerolio is the music director for the film. The movie is set up in a rural Telangana village and emphasizes its deep-rooted culture and traditions, beautifully juxtaposed with a family dispute over the patriarch's death.
