Varudu was released amid huge expectations from the fans of Allu Arjun and director Gunasekhar. The entire team managed to keep the female lead actress Bhanushree's identity under wraps, so as to make the fans curious about her and encourage them to come to theatres. Allu Arjun and the director, the team Varudu have promoted the film in a grand manner. To go with the film's theme of celebrating 'Five-Day Telugu Marriage,' the audio release was also celebrated in a wedding style with men clad in silk robes. The filmmakers also treated the media and invitees to a wedding feast on the occasion. Throughout the filming and promotions, the actress Bhanushree was absent. This could be one of the reasons why she failed to cash in on the opportunity.
