The movie, which was released in December 2021 has become a major hit all over the country and it shot the iconic star to international fame. In the image, Allu Arjun was clad in a 'Jathara' costume, which is typically worn during the local deities' annual celebrations. The concept was derived from Chittoor's Gangamma Jathara, one such popular diety's celebration. Since the movie is set up in the Seshachalam forest backdrop, the look has been inspired by it.

The first look poster on Instagram gained 4.5 Million likes in a time period of 16 hours. On Facebook, it has garnered 656 K likes, and on Twitter, the image secured 175 K likes in 16 hours. On YouTube, there were 124 K likes. According to several fan pages, Pushpa 2's first look glimpse totally gained a whopping 5.45 Million likes within 16 hours of its release from all these social media platforms.
