Tollywood's anchor-turned-actress Anasuya Bharadwaj is a name that often hits the headlines. She enjoys a great fanbase among the Telugu people who have been following her since Jabardasth days. The actress is now one of the busiest character artists in Tollywood and her latest film, Vimanam, is getting ready to hit the screens.

Ahead of the film's release, the actress has started taking part in several events to promote the film, which was written and directed by Siva Prasad Yanala. Vimanam is going to hit the screens on June 9.

Anasuya About Where It All Began With Vijay Deverakonda

Speaking to one such interview with India Today, the actress reportedly opened up about her issues with actor Vijay Deverakonda. She was reportedly quoted saying, "Vijay and I were friendly long back and there was no problem. When Arjun Reddy (2017) released, the cuss words were muted in the film. Vijay had visited a theatre and when the muted cuss words came on screen, he told his fans to mouth the dialogues and they were shouting these cuss words. Vijay played a character who was abusive, which is fine, but in real life, why would you encourage the audience to say such words? Being a mother, all this abusive language really upset me. In fact, I had spoken to Vijay about this, saying please don't encourage such things in real life."

She opined the amount of abuse against women online has grown by leaps and bounds after the release of Arjun Reddy because youngsters thought it was rather 'okay and cool' to take that way to abuse women.

As a result, there has been heavy trolling and intensified online hate against Anasuya, who always maintains a good rapport with her fans through her handles.

And then, when she was asked to elaborate on it further, Anasuya went on to say, "I was depressed when there was so much online abuse but I tried to stay strong and move on. In 2019, Vijay Deverakonda's father was producing Meeku Maathrame Cheptha and they offered me a role. Things were fine."

Vijay Deverakonda's Publicist Had Paid Trolls

"It was after that someone from Vijay's team told me that his publicist had paid trolls to abuse me. I was shocked. If the publicist had paid trolls, then Vijay would have been aware, right? I am sure they would not do something like this without his knowledge, right?," as per the report in India Today.

Anasuya also added that she was upset that Vijay had never tried to silence his fans and instead chose to keep quiet, while his followers are spewing poison at me. That is why I had to tweet when his Liger turned out to be a disaster. She also mentioned, "I don't know if Vijay Deverakonda has a grudge against me or not. But I have decided to let this go and move on because I need mental peace."

The movie is about a physically challenged father's endless pursuit to make his son realize his biggest dream of traveling in an airplane. The movie stars Samuthirakani, Rahul Ramakrishna, Dhanraj, and Motta Rajendran along with Anasuya Bharadwaj among others. Actress Meera Jasmine makes a comeback with the Vimanam movie in the role of an air hostess, going by the film's trailer. The movie is a Tamil and Telugu bilingual. Kiran Korrapati and Zee Studios produced the movie jointly.
