The movie is one of the much-awaited films of the year and the openings for Animal are unprecedented for Ranbir Kapoor's film all over India and overseas. The movie hit the screens worldwide in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on December 1. The movie is wreaking havoc at the box office and is raving reviews.

The movie sold out a whopping 50 K tickets in an hour by the end of its opening day, which is a testimony to what the craze for Animal at the theatres is. With an unprecedented buzz for Ranbir Kapoor's film in the two Telugu states owing to the Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Rashmika Mandanna factors, the movie is expected to make about Rs 10 Crore from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, its Telugu version.

Dil Raju of Sri Venkateswara Creations banner is said to have shelled out a whopping Rs 15 Crore for Animal's Telugu theatrical rights. Insiders opine that the producer took a big risk given that Ranbir Kapoor is a new face to the people. However, Dil Raju trusts Sandeep Reddy Vanga's magic and therefore didn't have to think twice about buying it for that price.

Animal Cast

The movie features Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of Arjun Singh and Anil Kapoor as Balbir Singh, Arjun's father. Bobby Deol is a surprise element of the movie in the role of Viraj Surve, and his glimpse from the teaser shocked the film buffs.

Rashmika Mandanna will be playing Geetanjali, Arjun Singh's girlfriend and wife. In addition, Animal stars Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, Suresh Oberoi, Ravi Gupta, Babloo Prithveeraj, Siddhant Karnick, Indira Krishnan, Upendra Limaye, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Maganti Srinath among others in key roles.
