Anu Emmanuel: I Too Faced Casting Couch Issues But Took Support From...; Actress Opens About Her Experience
Actress Anu Emmanuel is a well-known south-Indian actress who made her acting debut as a child artist in 2011. The svelte actress is born to a noted Malayalam film producer Thankachan Emmanuel in Chicago, Illinois. She returned to India to pursue a career in acting.
The 27-years-old svelte actress became a heroine with Action Hero Biju movie which was released in 2016. After a couple of films in Malayalam, Anu Emmanuel made her Tollywood debut with Natural star Nani-starrer Majnu, for which she was nominated for the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut.
Anu Emmanuel focused a bit on Telugu film industry and acted in films like Kittu Unnadu Jagratha, Oxygen, Agnyaathavaasi, Naa Peru Surya, Naa Illu India, Sailaja Reddy Alludu, Alludu Adhurs, Maha Samudram, and Geetha Govindam. Her recent Telugu release was Urvashivo Rakshasivo opposite Allu Sirish, which was received well by film buffs. She was then seen in Ravi Teja's Ravanasura in a brief role.
Her Tamil debut opposite Vishal in Thupparivaalan is also a successful film. However, Anu Emmanuel's career didn't take off as it should.
Anu Emmanuel Opens Up About Casting Couch
Speaking to media recently, Anu Emmanuel opened up about her experience with casting couch. Going by a report in Sakshi website, Anu Emmanuel said, "Yes. I too had faced such situations in my career, especially during my initial days. But, I took support from my family to face them. I advise that everybody take help from ther family to deal with situations like that instead of suffering alone."
Anu Emmanuel's Work Front
The actress joined hands with actor Karthi for the second time for an action entertainer titled Japan. Written and directed by Raju Murugan, Japan will feature Sunil in an important role. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the film's background score and music. Sathyan Sooryan and Ravi Varman are the film's cinematographers. Phhiloming Raj is the film's editor.
