After tasting the biggest success of his career with Waltair Veerayya, megastar Chiranjeevi is now ready with a remake film under the direction of Meher Ramesh. Titled Bhola Shankar, the movie is going to release worldwide on August 11.

The fans of megastar Chiranjeevi are excited for the movie which has already struck a chord with its songs. In addition to having a great budget and high production values, the casting is quite tempting for Bhola Shankar.

Bhola Shankar is a remake of the Tamil film Vedalam starring Ajith. It was directed by Siva and was released in 2015. Tamannaah and Keerthy Suresh are playing the two female lead characters in the film. Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of Mahalakshmi, Bhola Shankar's sister in the film.

Bhola Shankar moves to Kolkata with his adopted sister Mahalakshmi (Keerthy Suresh) for her education. However, unbeknownst to others, Shankar is also on a personal mission and is a former gangster. Megastar Chiranjeevi's movie made about $95,004 from selling out 4112 tickets. The movie is going to open across 181 locations with as many as 513 shows on its first day.

Chiranjeevi Konidela took home a whopping Rs 25 Crore as remuneration for the movie in which he played an emotional character. Tamannaah, who will be seen in the role of an advocate Deepika, was given Rs 3 Crore.

Keerthy Suresh was offered Rs 2 Crore for her character Mahalakshmi. Raghu Babu, Murli Sharma, Brahmanandam, and Vennela Kishore took home somewhere between Rs 40 Lakh and Rs 80 Lakh.

Along with Chiranjeevi, Tamannaah, and Keerthy Suresh, the movie also features Sushanth, Raghu Babu, Murali Sharma, Brahmanandam, Shawar Ali, Tarun Arora, Vennela Kishore, Sreemukhi, Bithiri Sathi, Satya, Rashmi Gautam, Getup Srinu, Uttej, and Tulasi among others in prominent roles.

The movie is directed by Meher Ramesh, who also wrote the screenplay. Mamidala Thirupathi wrote the dialogues for Bhola Shankar. Dudley cranked the camera and Marthand K Venkatesh worked as the film's editor. Mahathi Swara Sagar composed the film's background score and music.

Ramabrahman Sunkara and KS Rama Rao bankrolled the movie under the AK Entertainments and Creative Commercials banner. Zee Studios is distributing the movie.
