Megastar Chiranjeevi's latest action entertainer Bhola Shankar hit the screens on August 11 worldwide. The Meher Ramesh directorial met with criticism and backlash upon its release.

The movie achieved good openings but immediately fell flat at the box office worldwide on the second day. Bhola Shankar is a remake of Tamil film Vedalam written and directed by Siva, starring Ajith Kumar.

Bhola Shankar's director Meher Ramesh is receiving backlash for not utilizing the opportunity of working with megastar Chiranjeevi. The movie's screenplay, scenes, dialogues, and episodes are a decade-old features, opined the fans who expressed severe dissatisfaction.
