Megastar Chiranjeevi's latest action entertainer Bhola Shankar hit the screens on August 11, worldwide. The Meher Ramesh directorial was met with criticism and backlash upon its release.

The movie achieved good openings but immediately fell flat at the box office all over the world on the second day. Bhola Shankar is a remake of Tamil film Vedalam, which was written and directed by Siva, starring Ajith Kumar.

Bhola Shankar's director Meher Ramesh is being pointed out for not utilizing the opportunity of working with megastar Chiranjeevi. The movie's screenplay, scenes, dialogues, and episodes are a decade-old features, opined the fans who expressed severe dissatisfaction.

Ramabrahman Sunkara and KS Rama Rao bankrolled the movie under the AK Entertainments and Creative Commercials banner. Zee Studios is distributing the movie.
