Bhola Shankar: Megastar Chiranjeevi Returns A Part Of His Remuneration To Producer Anil Sunkara? Read Here
Megastar Chiranjeevi and Meher Ramesh's Bhola Shankar is going to end up as a humiliating disaster at the box office. The film's decline in collections worldwide indicate this. The Meher Ramesh directorial was released worldwide on August 11.
The film produced by Anil Sunkara under AK Entertainments is barely close to the break-even point. It was made on a budget of Rs 100 Crore, and until August 18, the movie made only Rs 23 Crore.
Generally, in such cases, stars who take hefty remunerations come to the rescue of the makers by returning their pay or unconditionally promise the director of making another film.
Every top hero did this in their career since time immeorial and Chiranjeevi too has done this a few times in the past when his films caused losses to the producers. Especially, for Acharya, Chiranjeevi had come forward to offer his entire remuneration back.
Chiranjeevi Returns A Bit Of His Remuneration To Bhola Shankar Producers!
Now, the buzz in the Telugu Film Industry is that Megastar Chiranjeevi has returned a portion of the remuneration he received for the film to the producer Anil Sunkara.
As per reports, Megastar's remuneration for the film was Rs 60 crore and the veteran quoted the amount after the mammoth success of Waltair Veerayya. His remuneration was settled in Rs 50 Crore during the filming and for the rest of Rs 10 Crore, the actor was given a cheque. Now, rumours mills of the Tollywood film industry suggest that megastar Chiranjeevi gave up Rs 10 crore in cheque and also returned some amount fro the Rs 50 Crore, to cover for the losses.
Recently, there were several reports that the producer of Bhola Shankar had issues with Chiranjeevi and that he was forced to sell his properties in the USA, house, and other plots to pay the balance amount to Chiranjeevi.
Anil Sunkara denied the rumours and said that Chiranjeevi was cooperative as he is known to be like ever, and put an end to the rumours. He clarified with two tweets regarding the same. Check them out here.
