Bhola Shankar: Producer Anil Sunkara Suffers Another Blow With Megastar Chiranjeevi's Flick; Deets Inside

Megastar Chiranjeevi's latest action entertainer Bhola Shankar, a remake of Vedalam directed by Meher Ramesh is running in the theatres worldwide to a lukewarm response. The movie is bankrolled by Anil Sunkara under the AK Entertainment banners.

Producer Anil Sunkara just got a breather with the film Samajavaragamana, after back-to-back disasters like Ram Charan and megastar Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya, and Akhil Akkineni-Surender Reddy's Agent. His another recent release Himdimbha also secured decent OTT amount.

His latest, Bhola Shankar, in which the producer worked with the megastar again, is heading towards becoming another disastrous flop for Anil Sunkara and his production banner. The movie just hit him hard once again, going by its box office figures.

According to a report on M9 news, Bhola Shankar is unable to earn Rs 30 Crore share value in the full run. The trend depicts another Acharya-like disaster for the producer.

As per the latest buzz in Tollywood, megastar Chiranjeevi was stubborn about remuneration. M9 news reported that Chiranjeevi was fixated on his payment of Rs 65 Crore, and Anil Sunkara, who is already in a severe loss settled it by selling his properties in Hyderabad including his house, plots in Shad Nagar and Suryapet.

Anil Sunkara reportedly requested Chiranjeevi to adjust a part of his remuneration by trading satellite rights, but the latter wanted full settlement at once, reported the portal.

On the other hand, Bhola Shankar movie had own releases in most of the key areas where there is a mammoth scope for Chiranjeevi's film to recover. The producer released the movie in Nizam, Overseas, Krishna, Guntur, and East. For the Nizam rights, there was an offer for Rs 16 Crore or Rs 17 Crore, but Chiranjeevi prevented him for selling it off as Waltair Veerayya's business for Nizam was done at Rs 33 Crore.
