Bichagadu 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: Vijay Antony's Film Achieves Break-Even Despite Mixed Response

Bichagadu 2, the Telugu dubbed version of Pichaikkaran 2, written, directed, and enacted by musician-turned-actor Vijay Antony hit the screens at a time in Tamil and Telugu on May 19. Upon its theatrical release, the movie was reviewed as a mediocre thriller with a few shining moments.

Fans of the actor and the Bichagadu movie expected Bichagadu 2 to be special, although the movie is not a sequel to the earlier. Bichagadu 2 rides on sister sentiment and emotions.

Although the movie was met with a mixed to lukewarm response at the box office, the film's Telugu openings were huge than the original in Tamil Nadu. In addition, the movie surpassed the day 1 collection of Ponniyin Selvan 2 in Telugu, on the release day, in terms of openings. Vijay Antony's movie emerged as the 11th cleanest hit in Telugu of the year 2023.

Vijay Gurumurthy and Satya (Vijay Antony) are doppelgangers and have no connection to each other. While one is a former multi-millionaire, the other is a convict beggar, who serves jail term.
