Megastar Chiranjeevi is in the happiest phase of his life. The veteran Telugu star is enjoying the blockbuster success of his recent Sankranthi release 'Waltair Veerayya.' The actor is also on cloud nine as his son, RRR star Ram Charan made the country proud for achieving so much for himself, the Tollywood industry, and all Telugu people. In addition, Chiranjeevi is set to become a grandparent to the first child of Ram Charan-Upasana Kamineni, very soon.

Chiranjeevi, however, was a disappointed lot due to the debacle that his last but one film 'Acharya' was. The movie, written and directed by the renowned writer-director Koratala Siva, who helmed 'Mirchi' with pan-India star Prabhas in his directorial debut, tanked at the box office miserably. The movie garnered severe criticism for Chiranjeevi. Ironically, after a massive outing in the form of RRR, Ram Charan was seen sharing screen space with his father in Acharya.

Dharmasthali Temple Set

For the filming of Acharya, the makers of the film have invested a heavy amount, approximately Rs 25 Crore, to build an important temple set in the fictional place called Dharmasthali. The set was standing put till February 27 but a freak fire accident brought it down to ashes on the same day.

According to the available information, the set caught fire after a person accidentally dropped his cigarette butt and forgot to put it off properly. He was reported to have sat at the entrance of the temple's steps. The small fire caught up immediately and within a few minutes, the entire set was in flames. The set was designed and built by Suresh Selvarajan.

Chiranjeevi's Work Front

The veteran is working with pumped spirits for the upcoming film, the Telugu remake of Ajith's 'Vedalam' with director Meher Ramesh. Keerthy Suresh is playing the sister's role in the film and the filming is happening at jet speed. The movie will be slated to hit the screens in May this year.
