Talented
filmmaker
Venkat
Prabhu,
who
delivered
extraordinary
films
earlier
in
Kollywood,
has
made
his
directorial
debut
with
Yuva
Samrat
Naga
Chaitanya
in
Telugu.
The
bilingual
titled
Custody,
hit
the
screens
all
over
the
world
on
May
12.
After
its
theatrical
release,
Custody
is
getting
a
mixed-to-lukewarm
reaction
from
the
fans
of
the
Akkineni
family
as
well
as
regular
movie
lovers.
The
movie
brought
together
Isaignani
Ilaiyaraaja
and
his
son
Yuvan
Shankar
Raja
together
for
the
first
time.
Unfortunately,
the
songs
of
the
film
are
reviewed
to
be
redundant.
Krithi
Shetty
collaborated
with
Naga
Chaitanya
for
the
second
time
after
Bangarraju,
and
portrayed
the
role
of
Revathi,
Shiva's
love
interest.
Except
for
a
lengthy
romantic
track,
songs,
a
few
repetitive
action
sequences,
and
drag
in
the
narration,
Custody
is
full
of
terrific
performances
and
top-notch
technicalities.
However,
the
movie
lacked
the
most
important
element
that
gives
a
punch
to
the
viewer,
making
it
another
good
attempt
to
go
wrong.
Custody
Story
Custody,
which
stars
Krithi
Shetty
as
the
female
lead
is
a
story
of
a
police
constable
named
Shiva.
Under
his
custody
is
a
murderer
and
gangster
Raaju
(Arvind
Swamy),
whom
he
has
to
safeguard
in
order
to
produce
in
court.
Meanwhile,
Raju
is
attacked
and
it
falls
upon
Shiva
to
ensure
that
Raju
is
alive.
Meanwhile,
his
love
life
with
Revathi
(Krithi
Shetty)
takes
an
unexpected
turn.
On
the
release
day,
Yuva
Samrat
Naga
Chaitanya's
cop
action
thriller
is
estimated
to
have
earned
about
Rs
4
Crore
from
all
over
India.
The
occupancy
ratio
of
the
film
on
average
is
30
percent.
Depending
on
the
film's
word-of-mouth,
the
collection
may
vary
towards
the
end
of
the
day,
and
the
upcoming
weekend.
