Naga Chaitanya-starrer Custody is all set to hit the screens all over the world on May 12. The Tamil and Telugu bilingual is written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, who is making his Telugu debut.

Ahead of the film's huge theatrical release, Naga Chaitanya and the team are taking part in a slew of back-to-back interviews and game shows to promote Custody. The movie's theatrical trailer was also released a couple of days ago and the Akkineni fans are satisfied with it.

Is Custody Inspired By Safe House (2012)?

Swedish filmmaker Daniel Espinosa directed an action thriller film titled Safe House, which was released in the year 2012. The movie which stars Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds was written by David Guggenheim. According to a few entertainment websites, Custody is heavily inspired by Safe House.

According to Asianet Telugu, the story of Custody is inspired by Safe House. The trailers of both movies are also quite similar along with the storyline. To escape a dangerous murderer from jail is the plot of the movie in one line. The movie might however offer something interesting due to Venkat Prabhu's writing and direction.

Expectations for the movie Custody are quite high as Akkineni heroes- all three of them have been reeling under continuous flops. Custody has set the bar high for fans and thriller-genre-loving film buffs.

Custody Cast

The Venkat Prabhu movie stars Arvind Swamy as Raju, R Sarathkumar, Krithi Shetty as Revathi, Priyamani, Vennela Kishore, Premgi Amaren, Sampath Raj, Ramki, Premi Viswanath, Kayal Anandhi, Surya, YG Mahedran, Ravi Prakash, Goparaju Ramana, and Rajitha among others in important characters.

Custody Crew

The movie is bankrolled by Srinivasaa Chitturi under the Srinivasaa Silver Screen and Anji Industeries banners. The film's story and screenplay are written by director Venkat Prabhu himself.

Abburi Ravi wrote the dialogues for the Telugu version and Venkat Prabhu penned for the Tamil version. SR Kathir cranked the camera and Venkat Raajen worked as the editor. Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ilaiyaraaja worked together on Custody's background score and tunes.
