Yuva Samrat Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is ready to test his luck once again at the box office with a Tamil-Telugu bilingual titled Custody. The movie will be hitting the screens on May 12 worldwide.

Custody is written and directed by maverick filmmaker Venkat Prabhu, who is making a directorial debut in Tollywood. Naga Chaitanya is also venturing into Kollywood for the first time by dubbing for his character Shiva, a police constable, to expand his market.

The team Custody, especially Naga Chaitanya is pining heavy hopes for this police action thriller. Although hard-working, Naga Chaitanya is yet to attain stardom. His previous films were all disasters including Vikram K Kumar's Thank You.

The trailer featuring the main characters in Custody managed to impress the fans, who are awaiting the film to unveil on the big screen. Director Venkat Prabhu is someone who delivers extraordinarily and this time, with Naga Chaitanya, fans are expecting a big treat.

If Custody has to attain the status of a clean hit, the minimum share it has to earn is around Rs 22.50 Crore at the box office.

The Venkat Prabhu movie stars Arvind Swamy as Raju, R Sarathkumar, Krithi Shetty as Revathi, Priyamani, Vennela Kishore, Premgi Amaren, Sampath Raj, Ramki, Premi Viswanath, Kayal Anandhi, Surya, YG Mahedran, Ravi Prakash, Goparaju Ramana, and Rajitha among others in important characters.

The movie is bankrolled by Srinivasaa Chitturi under the Srinivasaa Silver Screen and Anji Industeries banners. The film's story and screenplay are written by director Venkat Prabhu himself.

Abburi Ravi wrote the dialogues for the Telugu version and Venkat Prabhu penned for the Tamil version. SR Kathir cranked the camera and Venkat Raajen worked as the editor. Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ilaiyaraaja worked together on Custody's background score and tunes.
