Dasara Beats Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy, Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya Share On Day 1! Read On

Nani's latest mass action entertainer co-written and directed by Srikanth Odela, who made his directorial debut, hit the screens all over the world on March 30. Besides a few flaws in narration, Dasara is being hailed as one of the good films in Tollywood and the career's best for the Natural star.

Dasara, which opened on a huge note, registered tremendous first-day records for a tier 2 hero. Dasara surpassed the share amount of Nandamuri Balakrishna and megastar Chiranjeevi's biggest Tollywood Sankranthi releases- Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya, along with Thalapathy Vijay's Vaarasudu, in the Nizam area.

Dasara stars Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Shamna Kasim, Sai Kumar, Samuthirakani, Jhansi, Raviteja Nannimala, and Shine Tom Chacko among others in crucial roles.

The movie is set in the time period 1995, in a rural village named Veerlapally, Telangana. Dharani, Suri, and Vennela are childhood friends. While Vennela becomes an Anganwadi teacher, Dharani and Suri are wayward and steal coal for money. When Suri and Vennela get married, an untoward incident changes their entire fate.

The movie recorded the highest number of openings ever in its entire career of Nani so far. Overseas, especially in the USA, the movie's premieres minted more than what Superstar Mahesh Babu's Maharshi and Allu Arjun's Pushpa 1, which is a remarkable feat. In addition, Nani's movie collected about Rs 17 Crore from all languages on the opening day contributing to the worldwide collection at the box office on day 1. All these figures safely pushed Nani into the tier 1 class of heroes in Tollywood.
