Dasara Box Office: Nani's Revenge Drama Enters Rs 100 Crore Club; First Ever Film Of The Actor To Achieve Thi

Natural star Nani's latest emotional revenge drama, in which he portrayed the character of a rugged villager called Dharani, has brought him nationwide recognition. The movie, which was co-written and directed by Srikanth Odela, a debutant, made the actor a Rs 100 Crore hero. Dasara also marks the first pan-India venture of the actor.

Indeed it is a moment of pride and joy for the entire unit of Dasara. The movie achieved break-even within five days and grossed Rs 100 Crore at the box office, the career's first ever for Nani.

Nani is the second hero in tier 2 to become the Rs 100 Crore hero after Ravi Teja, who made it with his last release Dhamaka. Both these self-made heroes are enjoying the best phase of their lives on the professional fronts.

Dasara is the story set in the village of Veerlapally in Telangana. The plot revolves around Dharani, Suri (Dheekshith Shetty), and Vennela (Keerthy Suresh). When Suri and Vennela get married with the help of Dharani, an untoward incident changes their lives forever.

Dasara stars Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko in the antagonist's role, which also marks his Tollywood debut. Senior actors Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar, Jhansi, Shamna Kasim, Rajsekhar Aningi, and Raviteja Nannimala form the other important cast of the film.

Sathyan Sooryan cranked the camera for the film as its cinematographer. Naveen Nooli worked as the editor, and Santhosh Narayanan composed Dasara's entire music and background score.

Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri on a budget of Rs 65 Crore under the Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, Dasara is the biggest success to date of all the movies of the banner. The movie's story was co-written by Jella Srinath, Arjuna Paturi, and Vamsi Krishna P along with the director.

Nani's Work Front

Nani will be joining the schedule of his upcoming film Nani 30 with actress Mrunal Thakur. The shooting will begin in a couple of days in Goa and will be shot for about 40 days there, under the direction of debutant Shouryuv.
