Nani has never played any character which showcased him as a action hero. He never donned mass avatars and mouthed slang like he experimented with Dharani's character. To seen Nani on the screen with emotionally tight narration in a never-seen-before role, contrasting to his guy-next-door image thrilled his fans.

Dasara marks the first pan-India venture of Nani, and the movie has achieved a remarkable feat in the history of Telugu cinema, in the overseas market.

According to the available information, Nani's Dasara has recorded the highest gross in premieres across the USA, surpassing films like Super star Mahesh Babu's 'Maharshi,' and Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa:The Rise.'

Dasara Premiere Gross stands at $550 K (reportedly), which is a remarkable feat in the history of average or medium budget films in the Telugu film industry featuring a minimum guaranteed star.

Dasara Cast

Dasara stars Dheekshith Shetty as Suri, Samuthirakani as Shivanna, Shine Tom Chacko as China Nambi, Sai Kumar as Rajanna, who played key roles. In addition, anchor-turned-actress Jhansi was seen playing the role of Vennela's mother in the film. Zarina Wahab, Shamna Kasim and other actors were part of the film.

Dasara Crew

The cinematography of Sathyan Sooryan is striking on the screen. The background score and tunes for the film are composed by Santhosh Narayanan, who worked on a straight Telugu film for the first time. Although the songs of Dasara like 'Ori Vaari,' 'Chamkeela Angeelesi', and 'Dhoom Dham' were charbuster hits, the background score for the film was contrasting, setting a romantic and emotional tone for the narration. Naveen Nooli worked as the film's editor. Sudhakar Cherukuri produced the movie on a budget of Rs 65 Crore under the Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas banner.
