Dasara Pre-Release Business: Nani's Rugged Avatar & Teaser Up The Expectations On The Film; Makes A Record Biz

Natural star Nani's upcoming film, a mass action drama titled 'Dasara', is all set to hit the screens all over the world on March 30. The movie marks the first pan-India debut of Nani; a directorial debut for Srikanth Odela. The movie stars National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, bringing together the actor-actress for the second time.
Dasara charts the journey of Dharani, a rebel working in the Singareni coal mines near Godavarikhani. Most of the film's shooting was completed in the surroundings. Ahead of the film's rtheatrical elease, the pre-release business of the movie made headlines. It is touted as the best pre-release business in the career of Nani.
Nani, who is awaiting massive success after back-to-back flops and monotonous characterizations, is aiming to break it with Dasara. His character, look and energy in Dasara's teaser are astounding. The teaser elevated the expectations of the film and Nani's makeover is one of the biggest reasons for the fans and moviegoers to go watch it.
Dasara's Telugu states rights were sold at Rs 34 Crore out of which Andhra Pradesh theatrical rights were sold at Rs 20 Crore and Telangana were sold for Rs 14 Crore. The worldwide theatrical rights were valued up to Rs 43 Crore and the movie will now require to mint more than Rs 43 Crore share amount to achieve break-even.

Sathyan Sooryan cranked the camera for the film and Naveen Nooli worked as its editor. Popular composer Santhosh Narayanan worked on the film's background music and tunes. The movie is written by director Srikanth Odela, Jella Srinath, Arjuna Paturi, and P Vamsi Krishna.
Dasara is the production venture of Sudhakar Cherukuri, who made the movie on a budget of Rs 65 Crore under the Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas banner.
