Dhootha Trailer Review: Naga Chaitanya's Maiden Web Series By Vikram K Kumar Promises An Engaging Thriller
Naga Chaitanya is making his remarkable OTT debut with writer-director Vikram K. Kumar's web series titled Dhootha. The trailer of this murder investigation series was unveiled on November 23, marking the suave actor's 37th birthday.
Dhootha stars an ensemble cast including Prachi Desai, Parvathy Thiruvothu, and Priya Bhavani Shankar among others playing pivotal characters. The web series is funded by Sharath Marrar and Naga Chaitanya will be seen playing the role of a journalist for the first time in his career.
Speaking about Dhootha, which translates to 'Messenger' in English, director Vikram K. Kumar said, "It is a fast-paced suspense thriller with supernatural elements and unpredictability. It is going to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller."
Naga Chaitanya was thrilled about Dhootha and his unique characterization, in addition to the fact that he stepped into the OTT platform. He shared, "The story, Vikram, and the team are the reason behind my decision to work on this character and take up this project. It has been an experience I will cherish. I am happy to make my OTT debut with Dhootha and I have come out of my comfort zone for playing Sagar. It is new for me and I think my fans will like it. "
Dhootha will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from December 1 in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil.
Dhootha Premise
Sagar, an investigative journalist learns that illustrations in the newspaper are just a turnout of real-life incidents that are going to happen in the future. As he delves deeper, he finds himself as the suspect in a murder case.
Naga Chaitanya will also be seen playing 'Thandel Raju' a fisherman, in his upcoming film titled Thandel, under the direction of Karthikeya 2 director Chandoo Mondeti. The makers released the first look and official title poster on November 22, to celebrate the actor's birthday. Expectations are high for this film based on a real-life incident.
