From Waltair Veerayya To Dasara, Take A Look At The Top Grossing Movies Of Tollywood 2023 In The First Quarter

Starting with Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy, which were released during the Sankranthi season of 2023; setting the Telugu film industry to a glorious star, there are several movies that were successful at the box office.

By the first quarter, four big movies have earned more than Rs 100 Crore. Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya earned more than Rs 236 Crore at the box office. Take a look at the top-grossing Telugu movies in the first 3 months of 2023.

Waltair Veerayya: Rs 236.15 Crore
Veera Simha Reddy: Rs 134 Crore
Sir (bILINGUAL): Rs 120.83 Crore
Dasara: Rs 100 Crore

In addition, movies like Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha and Writer Padmabushan have garnered a decent amount at the box office along with applause. Balagam, a movie that was made on a modest budget and backed by a huge production house, worked wonders at the box office. The movie was made for Rs 4 Crore and it made around Rs 9 Crore.

So far, until April 2023, as many as 10 movies were released at the box office in Tollywood, and films like Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's Amigos, Sundeep Kishan's Michael, and Vishwak Sen's Das Ka Dhamki, Santosh Sobhan's Sridevi Shoban Babu, CSI Sanatan, Naga Shaurya's Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi couldn't impress the viewers as the others. Creative director Krishna Vamsi's Rangamaarthanda also gained widepsread appreciation, although it didn't make numbers.

Tollywood has some great films to look forward to in the upcoming months of 2023. Ravi Teja's Ravanasura is releasing on April 7, Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Shaakuntalam, Kiran Abbavaram's second release of the year Meter, Sai Dharam Tej's Virupaksha, Akhil Agent, Gopichand's Rama Banam, Adipurush, Bhola Shankar, Kushi, and Salaar were a few of the films that are highly awaited.
