Guntur Kaaram: Walk-Out Woes Continue For Mahesh Babu-Trivikram's Flick; These Popular Technicians Quit?

Superstar Mahesh Babu's upcoming mass action drama titled Guntur Kaaram, written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas is back in the headlines. Seems like the filmmakers are facing several challenges in the production phase.

Guntur Kaaram was announced amid huge fanfare as it marks the epic collaboration of Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas for their third venture after about 12 years. The movie was launched on May 21 with principal photography commencing from September 12.

The film was initially planned for an early summer release on April 28, 2023. Later, it was pushed to August 11. The filmmakers updated the release date to January 12, 2024, for Sankranthi.

Meanwhile, the shooting schedules are always colliding for the cast and crew working on the movie, referred to as SSMB 28.

Drop Out Woes Continue For Guntur Kaaram

Recently, the filmmakers shocked the fans of superstar Mahesh Babu. There were rumours about Thaman being replaced as the music director. In another two days, Pooja Hegde walked out of the project citing a date clash.

Sreeleela, who was playing the second heroine role took Pooja's seat. Meenakshi Chaudhary is roped in for Sreeleela's replacement. Action director Anbariv were initially roped in for the movie but later popular and much sought-after fight masters Ram-Laxman replaced them. The fight sequence composed by Anbariv was completely scrapped.

Action Choreographers Ram-Laxman Walk Out Of Guntur Kaaram?

In an unexpected twist, if the ongoing rumours from Tollywood insiders are to be believed, Ram-Laxman has reportedly quit the project. An official confirmation is, however, awaited.

The movie features Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, Mahesh Achanta among others in key roles.

The movie is being made on a massive budget of Rs 200 Crore. Trivikram Srinivas is the director and writer. S Radha Krishna is producing the movie under the Haarika and Hassine Creations banner. Thaman S is scoring the film's entire background score and tunes. Naveen Nooli and PS Vinod are working as the editor and cinematographer of Guntur Kaaram.
