High speculations about S Thaman, the film's music director's exit went viral on the internet a day before, and on June 20, it is almost confirmed that one of the leading actresses Pooja Hegde, has been put off from the project.

Pooja Hegde, the leading lady of the film is said to have been removed from the project, following the footsteps of the film's music director S Thaman.

According to Pinkvilla, a source from Pooja Hegde's team revealed, "The shooting timelines of Guntur Kaaram kept on changing. The team was shooting for some sequences, deciding one timeframe for the next schedule but that's delayed again due to varied issues. Some of the portions already shot were getting into the reshoot mode. There were also changes in the script at regular intervals, which resulted in multiple other people also backing out. After several contemplations on what to do, Pooja Hegde has decided to part ways citing date issues."

The highly ambitious project was announced in May 2021. The movie marked the third collaboration of Superstar Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas after about 11 years. When the movie was announced fans went into a frenzy.

Several Hurdles & Postponements

After the project was announced, there were several hurdles and many postponements that occurred during the filming of Gunturu Kaaram. Mahesh Babu's personal trajedy of losing his mother and father superstar Krishna Ghattamaneni, the actor took a while to join the sets of the film.

He went to Spain before joining the sets for the filming and then again he went again on a family trip. The actor went on multiple holidays with family, and there were several delays in planned schedules for the film, which stars Pooja Hegde and Sree Leela.

Since the movie was announced in May 2021, two summers have passed, and the makers have announced as many as four release dates- summer 2022, April 2023, August 2023, and January 2024.

The film's director meanwhile worked on several scripts and films including power star Pawn Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak and Bro.

With just six months before the new release date, the makers are now replacing the important cast and crew. Further official updates are awaited from the movie producers- Sithara Entertainments.
