Hi Nanna, starring Nani and Mrunal Thakur hit the screens worldwide in Telugu on December 7. Shouryuv made his writing and directorial debut through this emotional love story drama. Hi Nanna became one of the most remarkable films in the careers of the cast for their incredible performances.

Hi Nanna revolves around the lives of a fashion photographer Viraj, and his daughter Mahi. Then Yashna storms into their lives putting Viraj in a fix about his past. Mahi and Yashna coerce Viraj to reveal his past about Mahi's mother while an already-engaged Yashna starts falling for Viraj. What happens next? is the crux of this movie.

The director was successful in bringing out the right emotions and performances from the cast but he should've written the story and screenplay in a more convincing way. The first half is slow-paced with routine scenes and after building tension about Viraj's past, the flashback episode feels like run-of-the-mill. The movie, however, got largely positive responses from the fans and critics alike. Nani's performance as Viraj is outstanding. Hesham Abdul Wahab, the musician breathed life into the movie and the story with his complimenting background score and enjoyable tunes.

The movie opened to positive responses on its release day. The collection for Nani's movie was decent during the opening weekend and maintained pace. It brought numbers in the first four days but saw a deep drop since. However, it quickly resumed at the box office after the initial days and is continuing a stable run due to lack of competition. Funded by Mohan Cherukuri, Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala, and Murthy KS under the Vyra Entertainments banner, Hi Nanna has music and background score by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Sanu Varghese cranked the camera and Praveen Anthony worked as the film's editor. The film's dialogues are penned by Nagendra Kasi.
