Jailer Telugu Box Office Collection Day 4: Superstar Rajinikanth's Film Walks Easily Into Another Solid Week

Superstar Rajinikanth's dark comedy-action drama Jialer, written and directed by Nelson, is making waves at the box office after its spectacular release. Within three days of its release, the movie made over Rs 300 Crore at the box office.

The movie featuring Rajinikanth as a retired Jailer Muthu released to a remarkable response from fans and critics on August 10, worldwide. Jailer set a new record in terms of pre-release business, advance booking sales, and box office collection, all-India wide.

The movie is the story of a retired Jailer Muthu, whose son, a strict ACP gets kidnapped. Muthu lives a peaceful life, but when he learns that his son was no more, he sets out to avenge his death. A flashback of Muthu unravels, and there is a twist. What happens next? is to be seen on the big screen.

After its theatrical release, Jailer is reviewed as a decent movie with a few high moments, subtle comedy, and exhilarating background score. Rajinikanth performed in a role that was highly different from the ones he earlier portrayed. The veteran got a tailor-made role in the form of Muthuvel.

However, the movie's second half fell flat due to lack of tight screenplay, narration. At the end, Rajinikanth's Jailer is billed as a partially engaging entertainer and a feast to the fans of Thalaiva.

On the first day, Jailer movie made a worldwide collection of Rs 72 Crore.

Jailer movie stars superstar Rajinikanth, Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa Menon, Naga Babu, Kishore, Redin Kingsley, Saravanan, SunilReddy, Aranthangi Nisha, Uday Mahesh, G Marimuthhu, and Mahanadi Shankar, among others in key roles. In addition, the movie features Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, and Shiva Rajkumar in cameos.

Kalanithi Maran bankrolled the movie under the Sun Pictures banner. The budget was Rs 200 Crore. Vijay Kartik Kannan cranked the camera, and Anirudh Ravichander composed outstanding background score and music. R Nirmal worked as the editor of Jailer.
