Superstar Rajinikanth's latest comedy-action entertainer written and directed by Nelson, Jailer, is all set to open worldwide on August 10. The movie's trailer has amplified expectations for the film in which Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff played pivotal roles. Jailer is releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Jailer mania has gripped the country and in Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu, several companies and organizations have declared a holiday on August 10, given the film's mammoth theatrical release.

Jailer's Advance Bookings Rampage in Telugu

Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer has surpassed the advance booking collection of megastar Chiranjeevi's Bhola Shankar. The movie so far sold 233.15 K tickets.

Despite the underwhelming performance of Rajinikanth's last films in Telugu, except for Kabali and Darbar which registered decent openings. His recent 'Pedanna' registered the lowest Telugu openings for the veteran. However, the buzz around the latest release, Jailer is quite high.

In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its release day, Jailer is expected to make somewhere between Rs 3 Crore and Rs 4 Crore, if the talk comes out positive. Anyway, for an entire day, there is no competition for Jailer since Chiranjeevi's Bhola Shankar will release one day after Jailer hits the screens.

The movie Jailer brings the epic pairing of superstar Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan back, this time as wife and husband with grown-up children and grandchildren.

In addition, the film features Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Naga Babu, Sunil, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Tamannaah, Mirnaa Menon, Vasanth Ravi, Kishore, and Billy Muralee among others in prominent roles.

The Anirudh Ravichander musical is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner on a budget of about Rs 200 Crore. Jailer has cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan while R Nirmal worked as its editor.
