Kalki 2898 AD AKA Project K is one of the upcoming epic science fiction films of Prabhas. The movie is the costliest film made in India, especially from Tollywood.

The filmmakers recently released a glimpse of Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD showcasing Prabhas in the title role, and fans went crazy over it. The makers are working at lightning speed to complete the shooting. The dubbing and post-production works are going in tandem simultaneously.

Meanwhile, the production team is facing issues to curb leaks on the internet, which has also become a concern for fans. A picture of Prabhas from the sets of Kalki was leaked on the internet. The team is now looking to trace out the source of these leaks. They also requested fans to not reshare the leaked images.

Kalki 2898 AD is aimed to hit the screens worldwide on January 12 for the Sankranthi festival in all five major Indian languages. The movie is expected to set a new benchmark in terms of its scale and reach.

The movie was announced on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the production house Vyjayanthi Movies established by C Aswini Dutt, in February 2020. Due to the pandemic, the production got delayed. The filming finally began in July 2021 at a futuristic set designed and erected at Ramoji Film City. The Production department also commissioned high-end vehicles for the film for which they collaborated with Mahindra & Mahindra.

The prestigious project features an ensemble cast in the form of Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Pasupathy, and Saswata Chatterjee among others in key roles.

The movie is written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Vyjayanthi Movies banner is bankrolling the film on a massive budget of Rs 600 Crore. Djordje Stojilijkovic is cranking the camera for this science fiction action thriller. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao worked as the film's editor. Santhosh Narayanan is the film's music composer.
