Kalki2898AD First Glimpse: Fans Compare Prabhas' Sci-Fi Film With Dune, Manipura Chakra, Kalki Sambhavam, Etc

Prabhas' Project K is now officially titled Kalki2898AD, with the first glimpse revealed at the prestigious Comic-Con 2023 event in San Diego. The makers of Project K have made a grand debut, the first from India at the event where Prabhas grabbed attention.

After the epic first glimpse was revealed, fans started speculating about the film's premise, story, and connections. While 'K' stands for Kalki, as disclosed by the makers themselves, the movie is set in the future, in 2898 AD. Going by the glimpse, the netizens derived that it is about Kalki Sambhavam and looks like Indian star wars. Manipura Chakra that associates with Lord Sri Maha Vishnu.

Another user strongly believed Amitabh Bachchan is playing the character of Ashwathama. There is a robot in the cave in one shot and the climax is going to be between Ashwathama and Kalki.

This cinematic masterpiece has been hailed as a seamless fusion of science fiction and unprecedented storytelling, setting new benchmarks for the genre. The movie is made on a budget of about Rs 600 Crore, although it has kept increasing from when it was first conceived.

Project K stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, etc in the key roles. The movie is likely to hit the screens on January 12 for Sankranthi in 2024.

This movie written and directed by Nag Ashwin is bankrolled by Ashwini Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies banner. Djordje Stojiljkovic cranked the camera and Santhosh Narayanan composed the film's entire background score and music. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao worked as the film's editor. The dialogues for the film are written by Sai Madhav Burra.
