Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan Joins Project K: Project K, pan-India star Prabhas' upcoming sci-fi action thriller, is back in the headlines for an exciting update. The movie, written and directed by Nag Ashwin, has been trending on social media since yesterday for a majestic update of roping Kamal Haasan for the film.

Project K is the most expensive film to be made in India to date, with an expected approximate budget of Rs 600 Crore. The movie is slated to hit the screens on January 12, 2024.

Immediately after the buzz about the makers approaching the Ulaganayagan for an antagonist's role, Kamal Haasan and the crew officially announced his arrival onboard. Kamal Haasan will be seen in a different kind of role in the sci-fi film.

Kamal Haasan Pens A Note

On occasion, the versatile and legendary personality took to his social media handle to express his feelings as he joined the team of Project K. He said, "50 years back, I was a dance assistant, and an assistant director, the name of Ashwini Dutt loomed large in the production sector. Both of us are coming together after 50 years. A brilliant director from our next generation is at the helm. My co-stars Prabhas and Deepika are also of that generation. Working with Amit ji always feels like the first time, and he keeps reinventing himself. I am also emulating the inventive process. I am eagerly waiting for Project K."

Welcoming Kamal, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "Welcome Kamal.. Great working with you again... It's been a while! (sic)"

Prabhas, the man of the film, stated, "A moment that will be etched in my heart forever. Honored beyond words to collaborate with the legendary Kamal Haasan sir in Project K. The opportunity to learn and grow alongside such a titan of cinema is a dream come true moment. (sic)"

Giving out an impression of Kamal Haasan's character in Project K, Nag Ashwin, the film's director, said, "For an actor like Kamal sir, who has done so many iconic roles, it's a huge honour to attempt to do something. We are all super excited and privileged that he agreed to come on board and complete our world."
