Keerthy Suresh On Dasara: "I Didn't Understand The Slang Easily But Some Characters Elicit Emotional...."

Nani and Keerthy Suresh-starrer high-octane action drama Dasara, is all set to hit the screens all over the world on March 30. Written and directed by debutant Srikanth Odela, the movie has ticked all the right boxes ahead of its release with the pre-release buzz touching the sky. Nani single-handedly shouldered the promotional activity for Dasara since the director is busy with the post-production works. Keerthy Suresh recently joined the promotional campaign for Dasara with Nani, his co-actor and friend.

Speaking at the recent promotional event, Keerthy Suresh, who was stunned in a handloom lehenga said, "Some characters and films elicit an emotional response from us. It happened with Mahanati. I didn't understand the slang easily. Dasara is in the same boat. Vennela is the character I play in the film. I dubbed for myself. You'll never forget Vennela."

In addition, Keerthy also shared that at first, she didn't understand one bit of the story when the director narrated the script. "Director gave me a three-hour narration of Dasara in Telangana slang, which I couldn't follow. After joining the sets, Nani observed that I wasn't going with the flow of the scenes. He then asked me if I understood the story. When I replied with a no, he then asked the director to narrate the story again, with the help of a translator. Then I really liked it and was happy to be part of the film."

Dasara also stars Dheekshith Shetty, Samuthirakani, Shine Tom Chacko, Sai Kumar, Poorna, and Zarina Wahab in crucial roles.

Dasara is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas banner. The movie was made on a budget of Rs 65 Crore and made a massive pre-release business of Rs 80 Crore, which is the highest ever in Nani's career. Santhosh Narayanan composed the film's entire music and tracks, which are already successful. Naveen Nooli and Sathyan Sooryan have worked on the editing and cinematography respectively.
