Mahaveerudu Box Office Collection Day 7: Numbers Begin To Look Down For Sivakarhtikeyan-Madonne Ashwin's Film

Mahaveerudu, Sivakarthikeyan's latest fantasy entertainer hit the screens all over the world in Tamil and Telugu on July 14. The movie is directed by Madonne Ashwin, who won a National Award for his previous film Mandela, starring Yogi Babu.

Mahaveerudu, the dubbed version of Maaveeran in Telugu didn't release as expected and due to issues about licensing, the release was postponed until noon. Finally, the movie had a troublesome start but was reviewed as a comedy entertainer worth a watch on the screen.

Mahaveerudu Story

The movie is a political action thriller in which the protagonist comes across as a meek person living with his mother and sister. He is a cartoonist and surprisingly, his drawings start to manifest in real-life. He gets involved in a tricky political situation with the minister.

Due to the delayed release, the openings weren't as expected for Sivakarthikeyan's movie. The actor earned himself popularity and a fanbase in the two Telugu-speaking states with his previous films. Expectations for Mahaveerudu were also high, accordingly. Since word of mouth is positive, the movie is expected to make up for the loss on the opening weekend.

However, post the first week, the collection started to look down on the film-one reason, Baby, a Telugu film performing better, and two- not adequate promotion and buzz around Mahaveerudu.
