Mahaveerudu aka Maaveeran is Sivakarthikeyan's latest fantasy comedy thriller which hit the screens worldwide on July 14. The movie is written and directed by 'Mandela' fame Madonne Ashwin.

Upon the film's theatrical release, Mahaveerudu, the movie was reviewed as a decent entertainer by the fans of the actor and critics. The film's story, strong first half, and Yogi Babu's episodes are highly appreciated.

Sivakarthikeyan expected the movie to become another success on the lines of his earlier films Don and Doctor. The movie didn't perform at the box office as it was expected to. The performances, however, have been appreciated.

Mahaveerudu Story

Sathya (Sivakarthikeyan) is a cowardly cartoonist. Nila, a sub-editor helps Sathya land a job. The house he lives in begins to fall apart as it is built on loose soil. Pressure from politician increases for their evacuation. He uses his frustration and creates a superhero named Mahaveerudu. He then comes under his control and takes on a corrupt politician, who is the reason behind his troubles.

Maaveeran aka Mahaveerudu has entered the digital streaming space a bit early than expected. Sivakarthikeyan's fantasy drama is now going to hit the digital streaming platform and will be premiering on Amazon Prime Video on August 11. The movie will be avaialable in Tamil and Telugu versions.

Mahaveerudu Cast
The movie stars Sivakarthikeyan, Aditi Shankar, Saritha, Mysskin, Sunil, Monisha Blessy,Dileepan, Semmalar Annam, Balaji Sakthivel and Yogi Babu among others in pivotal roles. Massraja Ravi Teja rendered his voice for the character of superhero in the Telugu version.

Mahaveerudu Crew
The movie was co-written along with Chandru A and directed by Madonne Ashwin. Produced by Arun Viswa under the Shanthi Talkies banner, Mahaveerudu was made on a budget of Rs 35 Crore. The movie's cinematography was handled by Vidhu Ayyanna. Bharath Shankar composed the film's entire background score and music. Philomin Raj worked as the film's Editor.
