The movie hit the screens amid great buzz on November 17 and met with largely positive reviews from the film buffs and critics. Mangalavaaram started at the box office on a positive note. The lack of competition for this Telugu release became an advantage, coupled with the craze the film has managed to garner before and after its theatrical release. Mangalavaram earned Rs 2.5 Crore from India on the release day and it has been doing steadily well.
