RX 100 movie's epic director and actress duo Ajay Bhupathi and Payal Rajput have reunited for the latest suspense thriller film titled Mangalavaaram. The movie which hit the screens on November 17 met with mostly positive reviews for the story and characterization of the lead characters. B Ajaneesh Loknath's music is the heart of the film which otherwise fell flat due to the lag in narration, which made it a bit lengthy watch with the viewer waiting for the climax.

The movie's trailer and the hype increased expectations for the film, as did Allu Arjun's confidence on the film's concept. The issue of hypersexuality disorder in a female was depicted without making an over-the-top characterization, which won praise from critics.

According to Sacnilk, Mangalavaaram was estimated to earn about Rs 5 Crore on its opening day from all over India. However, the movie could only make Rs 2 Crore.
