Manmadhudu Re-Release: Bewitched Fans Make Beelines For Nagarjuna's Cult & Epic Comedy Drama; Box Office Rocks

On the occasion of Tollywood King Akkineni Nagarjuna's 64th birthday, the makers of his most loved cult film Manmadhudu, re-released the movie in a digitally updated version on August 29. The movie's tickets flew away in a swish as soon as the bookings opened in the two Telugu states.

Directed by Vijay Bhaskar, the film's story and dialogues were written by Trivikram Srinivas. The film's dialogues, punchlines, and songs became a rage when it was released earlier in 2002. After 21 years, the movie was re-released for the fans and young generation to experience it on the big screen; joining the re-release bandwagon in Tollywood. Manmadhudu is re-released in 4 K format with Dolby audio.

Going by the videos and posts that dotted the social media platforms, fans and film buffs are extremely enjoying the theatrical experience of Manmadhudu 4K. They are cheering, hooting, yelling, and singing in the theatres. Check out a few such videos here.

Manmadhudu 4K Re-Release Box Office

As soon as the bookings opened for Nagarjuna, Sonali Bendre, and Anshu Ambani's romantic comedy with a soul-stirring music and score by Devi Sri Prasad, tickets got sold in a swish.

The movie caused a stir at the box office with its openings. Manmadhudu re-release is expected to earn about Rs .... Crore on the first day of re-release in the Telugu states.

Manmadhudu stars Sunil, Brahmanandam, Chandra Mohan, Tanikella Bharani, Tanish, Sudha, Madhumitha Siva Balaji, late M Balaiah, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, and Jaya Prakash Reddy among others in pivotal roles.

Produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna himself under the Annapurna Studios banner, the movie's cinematography was handled by Sameer Reddy. A Sreekar Prasad worked as its editor.

Nagarjuna's Work Front

The veteran is all set to host yet another season of the Telugu TV's biggest reality show, Bigg Boss Telugu 7, from September 3. In addition, the actor's upcoming film titled 'Naa Saami Ranga' was announced on the occasion of the birthday with a title glimpse taking the Twitter by storm.
