Sampath Raj, who mostly keeps to himself and comes across as a media-shy person opened up about his personal life in a recent interview. From how he ran away to make it big in the industry to his relationship with his divorced wife and daughter, he shared it all.

Sampath Raj's Early life

He said, my mom was uninterested in my interest in making a career in the film industry. However, my father was supportive and that's why I ran away from my house to look for opportunities. But after I got successful, she felt very happy. But my father wasn't able to see and enjoy it."

Sampath Raj's Divorce & Personal Life

Speaking about his personal life, Sampath added, "I divorced my wife when our daughter was four years. We dealt with it maturely and we never argued about it. We spoke to each other amicably and arrived at this decision. All three of us are happy and share a cordial relationship. My daughter meets her often."

Sampath Raj About Reason For His Divorce

On why he had to divorce his first wife, Sampath said, "I got married at a very young age of 23. Getting married at that age could be one of the main reasons for it. I took full responsibility for my daughter and she is now in Australia. She is away from the industry and that is how she likes," added he.

Mirchi Sampath Movies

Sampath Raj made his acting debut with a Kannada movie called Preethi Prema Pranaya in the year 2003. He made it big by getting a breakthrough director Venkat Prabhu's trilogy films Chennai 600028, Saroja, and Goa. He won the Nandi award for the Best Villain category for Prabhas' Mirchi directed by Koratala Siva, his Telugu debut.

Sampath Raj became one of the busiest character artists and villains in the Telugu film industry, ever since. He went on to star in films which featured top class production houses and tier 1 heroes with prominent characters.
