"My Father's Cancer Forced Me Into Films & After His Death, My Brothers...," Says Character Artist Sudha!
The equations changed between our siblings following the death of my father. But in the end, we all are of same blood," said Sudha.
Character artist Sudha, who was once a busy actress in Tollywood and other south-Indian industries, has been giving out interviews. She spoke about her priorities in life and explained why she refrained from films of late. The actress, named Hema Sudha, was popular as Sudha in the film industries. She starred in more than 500 movies in Telugu alone.
Speaking to a YouTube channel recently, Sudha shared her life story and struggles for the very first time. The actress, who played several roles like mother, sister-in-law, wife to senior actors, etc, refused work due to personal commitments. The otherwise busy artist decided to take care of her ailing father who died recently of throat cancer.
Sharing her family background, Sudha, who was born in Srirangam, Tamil Nadu, said that her mother was a theatre artist and worked with TKS Shanmugam Bhagavathi's and MR Radhika's troupe in Tamil Nadu. Her father was a Civil Engineer with the PWD department. By the time I was born, my mother stopped working."
She has four elder brothers and a younger brother. I was the most pampered child and I had two bouncers-my elder one and younger one throughout. My father and brothers were protective. I was born with a diamond spoon and due to my father's health condition, I had to venture into acting and films. I'm not shying away from my life and reality," said Sudha.
Sudha further added, "After my father's death, there were some misunderstandings between me and my brothers. After 20 years, my father got affected by Liver cancer. My elder brother didn't take care of him, which is a hard truth. Then equations changed between our siblings. But in the end, we all are siblings," said Sudha.
Sudha is looking forward to taking up opportunities and is soon going to appear on the silver screen. A few of her notable films include Gang Leader, President Gari Pellam, Hello Brother, Aame, Pokiri Raja, Bangaru Kutumbam, Murari, Baadshah, Srimannarayana, and Avunanna Kaadanna among others.
