Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy Creates Another Record On Digital Streaming Platform Disney Hotstar!

Nandamuri Balakrishna's latest Sankranthi release 'Veera Simha Reddy' has now another record on its name to flaunt. The mass action drama featuring Shruti Haasan as the female lead and Kannada actor Duniya Vijay as the antagonist was released amid a thumping response at the box office on January 12 this year. The movie written and directed by Gopichand Malineni was declared a fan feast upon its release.

After its successful theatrical run, Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy started streaming on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar. The movie registered the career's highest number of openings in the actor's career. The movie also created a record on the digital streaming platform. Within one minute of its premiere, the movie secured 1,50,000 real-time views on the OTT. This is the only film to achieve this record, according to reports.

Veera Simha Reddy has Nandamuri Balakrishna playing a dual role. The story charts the journey of Veera Simha Reddy, a leader in Pulicherla, and his son Jai Simha Reddy. Veera Simha Reddy, who works towards eradicating factionalism and is targeted by Pratap Reddy.

Due to his background, Veera Simha Reddy's wife Meenakshi who is pregnant with his child Jai leaves for Turkey. For Jai's engagement, Meenakshi invites Veera Simha Reddy to Turkey. After returning home, Veera Simha Reddy gets killed.

Veera Simha Reddy stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Honey Rose, Lal, Naveen Chandra, Ajay Ghosh, Murali Sharma, P Ravi Shankar, John Kokken, Easwari Rao, Sameer, Annapurna, Rajitha, and Chammak Chandra in pivotal roles. Actress Chandrika Ravi appeared in the dance number 'Maa Bava Manobhavalu.' Ali, Manisha Eerabathini, and veteran Brahmanandam have appeared in cameo roles.

Veeera Simha Reddy is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Myhtri Movie Makers banner. S Thaman composed the entire film's music and score while Naveen Nooli worked as its editor. Rishi Punjabi cranked the camera. The movie was made on a budget of Rs 110 Crore and made Rs 134 Crore at the box office.
