NC 23: Naga Chaitanya's Film Is Now Thandel, Special Surprise 'Dhullakotteyala' First Look Poster Out

Naga Chaitanya is fully bucked up for his exciting projects which include his OTT debut, Dhootha, and Chandoo Mondeti's Thandel. The actor is going to turn 37 on November 23, and the fans are waiting for the surprise from the NC 23 team. The movie's official title is 'Thandel', and makers released the first look poster featuring the lead actor.

NC 23 team announced #Dhullakotteyala, a surprise first look poster on November 22, to mark the actor's birthday. Sai Pallavi joined hands with Naga Chaitanya for the second time after Love Story, and Devi Sri Prasad is on board for composing the film's entire soundtrack and tunes. The makers are also planning to release the official first look of the suave actor in his rugged and rough avatar on November 23. In Thandel, Naga Chaitanya plays the role of Thandel Raju, a fisherman.

Thandel Is A True Story Of A Fisherman

After the movie was officially announced, the team made it clear that the movie was about a fisherman and his background. They all went to Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh for a basic recce and workshop of sorts to interact with the people of the community.

Naga Chaitanya visibly underwent a makeover for the role and he has been sporting his fully grown hair and beard look, which is pretty much how he is going to appear in the movie. In addition, director Chandoo revealed that the story could be of a fisherman who entered the Pakistan waters after going to work in fishing boats in Gujarat. The incident happened in 2018 and it startled our nation, along with Karachi, Pakistan.

Bunny Vas, who is at the helm of GA 2 Pictures is funding the project on a budget of about Rs 70 Crore, and the regular shooting is happening at a fast pace.

Naga Chaitanya's OTT Debut

The actor finally made his OTT debut with a thriller genre web series titled Dhootha. In this series, Chay will be seen playing the role of a journalist named Sagar, who takes an interest in solving tragic incidents with mysterious secrets. Soon he finds himself embroiled in a dark web and becomes the primary suspect in a murder case.

Dhootha will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from December 1. The makers will release the trailer of Dhootha on November 23. Meanwhile, the surprise was delayed by 15 minutes and fans trolled the producers for the same. Check out funny tweets below.
