Veteran Tollywood personality VK Naresh and Pavithra Lokesh, who had officially announced their relationship, have starred as a real-life couple in their film about love in old age. Producer-turned-director MS Raju helmed Malli Pelli, in which the couple played the lead characters.

Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh met during the filming of 'Sammohanam' which led them to work together on more such films. They began as friends but soon developed feelings for each other. They moved in after Naresh's third wife Ramya Raghupathi moved out.

During the film's promotion, VK Naresh said, "In life, it is essential to have a companion. We met on the sets and somehow there was chemistry between us. We are friends for a long time and as we grew closer, there was a point. When there is chemistry between us, only then our feelings are reciprocated, said Naresh, elaborating on how they started falling for each other."

Meanwhile, Pavitra Lokesh said, "I like to keep my personals to myself. We are blessed that God has made us, you know," said Pavithra, talking about Naresh. People like me but I have to take this in a positive way. I have to rebuild my life if someone shatters my glass house. Nobody has the right to judge me or anybody. If my path is like this, I have to make it beautiful."

According to a report in Asianet Telugu, Suchendra Prasad was quoted saying, "Pavitra is a money-minded person. She moved close to Naresh just for the sake of money. They are both now enjoying the fortune earned by Naresh's mother Vijaya Nirmala. Pavitra wants to live a luxurious life and makes choices accordingly. She went with Naresh because I had no such money."

The duo has been living together at Naresh's house in Film Nagar. They went public long ago and sealed the deal with the release of the Malli Pelli movie.
