Writer-director Srikanth Addala's latest high-voltage action drama Peddha Kapu 1, hit the screens worldwide in Telugu on September 29. The movie featuring debutant Virat Karrna in the protagonist's role carried high expectations.

After the film's release, it was reviewed as an average film with a few high points. The makers organized a premiere two days before the movie's theatrical release.

The movie enjoyed a great pre-release buzz ahead of its release, ever since the first look, teaser, and trailer of the film were released by its makers. On the release day, the openings were decent, especially due to the long weekend. Srikanth Addala's action-drama is expected to earn somewhere around Rs 1 Crore, by the end of its first day. The occupancy ratio was 17 % for the morning shows.
