The Tollywood box office is currently dominated by three movies including a Tamil dub, Ponniyin Selvan 2. Sai Dharam Tej's supernatural horror thriller Virupaksha, and Akhil Akkineni's spy action movie Agent are playing on the screens.

While Virupaksha, which is now running successfully on its 9th day at the box office is continuing to score decently, in terms of amount and occupancy ratio, Agent received a lukewarm response after the negative talk.

Meanwhile, Mani Ratnam's epic periodical drama starring an elaborate ensemble cast, Ponniyin Selvan 2 is marching towards setting a new opening weekend record at the Telugu box office.

The movie's Nizam region made a disastrous amount on the second day with only

Ponniyin Selvan 2 garnered a Share amount of Rs 1.58 Crore on its second day. On the other hand, Virupaksha, on its 9th day earned Rs 1.84 Crore Share, continuing to rule the Telugu box office right now.

The total share value of these three films amounts to Rs 4.29 Crore (Rs 7.75 Gross).

Agent Story

The story of Agent is about three RAW agents. Colonel Mahadev aka Devil (Mammootty) is a commendable Agent who trains Dino Morea (The God) for the country. However, when God turns against the system, Devil has to take another task of preparing an Agent to take down God. Meanwhile, Ramakrishna AKA Rikki (Akhil) is an enthusiastic chap who wants to become an Agent. What happens next, is to be seen on the screen.

Virupaksha Story

The story is set in the village of Rudravanam, where mysterious deaths occur after a black magic spell. People start killing themselves without reason. When the heroine gets possessed, the protagonist embarks on the mission to put an end to their miseries. But at what cost?

Ponniyin Selvan 2 Story

The sequel picks up where it was left, in the first part. The flashback of Aditya Karikalan and Nandini, reasons why Nandini plots Karikalan's death, how did she kill him?
