Tollywood's secret lovebirds Varun Tej Konidela and Lavanya Tripathi have exchanged engagement rings among their family and close friends, making it official. The event took place on June 9 in Hyderabad.

The intimate event was organized in a cozy set up at the house of Varun's father, actor-producer Nagababu, megastar Chiranjeevi's brother, in Manikonda.

The duo is in love since 2016 but maintained everything under wraps until their D-Day finally arrived. Although their affair was an open secret, they maintained secrecy throughout and were careful not to be seen together while holidaying or hanging out.

Lavanya Tripathi Shares An UNSEEN PIC Of Them

A couple of days after the engagement, the newest Tollywood couple who are reeling from the overwhelming wishes and the frills of the engagement have taken time to thank their fans and well-wishers for showering their blessings.

On June 13, Lavanya Tripathi took to her Instagram handle and shared an unseen and special picture of herself walking on the street with Varun, holding hands. This is the first time the actress shared a personal picture of them together.

Fans are thrilled after the picture was dropped and bombarded the post with likes and comments. They wished the couple the best.

Varun Tej and Lavanya worked together in two films- Mister, which was released in 2017, and Antariksham 9000 KMPH, which was released in 2018. Now that the duo is engaged officially, Lavanya shared a cute little detail about her love story with Varun.

Lavanya made her acting debut in 2012 with a Telugu film titled 'Andala Rakshasi.' The movie made her an overnight star and opportunities knocked on her door. She was part of several big films and worked with all most all the stars in the industry.

On the work front, Varun Tej is working on Gandeevadhari Arjun, an action entertainer. Lavanya Tripathi will be seen in a Tamil film, which is in the last leg of its production.
