Project K: Along With Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan & Disha Patani, Prabhas-Starrer To Feature Dulquer?

Project K is one of the most anticipated films of pan-India star Prabhas. The movie, which is currently on the sets is directed by Nag Ashwin, the director of Keerthy Suresh-starrer 'Mahanati,' which won the National Best Picture Award.

The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in crucial characters with Deepika playing the female lead role. Another Bollywood actress Disha Patani is also part of Project K. Both these actresses make their Telugu debut with project K.

A piece of interesting news about the Prabhas-starrer that is doing the rounds on the internet is about the addition of another brilliant actor to the team. Going by some reports, the epic science fiction film, which is one of its kind might likely include talent powerhouse Dulquer Salmaan as part of the cast.

Apparently, Nag Ashwin has a very good rapport with Dulquer. The duo first collaborated for their National award-winning film 'Mahanati.' Later, Salmaan acted in the blockbuster film 'Sita Ramam' which was co-produced by Nag Ashwin's wife and her sister under the Swapna Cinema and Vyjayanthi Movies banners which are now bankrolling this prestigious Rs 500 Crore budget film, one of the very few costliest films ever made in India.

The movie's filming began in July 2021 at specially erected futuristic sets at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The movie is estimated to be made on a whopping budget of Rs 500 Crore. The makers, Vyjayanthi Movies are looking to release the movie all over the world in five languages on January 12, 2024.

Dani Sanchez-Lopez, who worked with Nag Ashwin on Mahanati is on board to crank the camera for this film as well. In addition, the movie's music is composed by Mickey J Meyer. Legendary director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is the mentor of the team. Geetha Arts, Pen India Limited, and Yash Raj Films are distributing the movie.

Dulquer Salmaan was last seen on Chup: The Revenge Of The Artist and is currently working on 'King Of Kotha', a Malayalam film as an actor and producer. Prabhas on the other hand is awaiting the release of Adipurush and is shooting for Raja Deluxe with Maruthi. Another film titled Spirit, his 25th, with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is also on the cards.
