Pushpa 2: Visionary Director Sukumar B Brings His Favourite Antagonist On Board For A Face-Off With Allu Arjun

Iconic Star of the nation, Allu Arjun is busy shooting for the much-awaited sequel under the direction of maverick director Sukumar Bandreddi. The film's shooting is progressing at a brisk pace in and around Vishakapatnam and Orissa.

Meanwhile, as the fans of the star and the epic movie are restless about the day it finally arrives, the three-minute long 'Where Is Pushpa?' glimpse and the first look of Allu Arjun in it made them go crazy.

Jagapathi Babu In Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2

Sukumar, in the latest development, is said to have signed Tollywood's favourite family hero-turned-villain, Jagapathi Babu. Sukumar earlier worked with Jagapathi Babu in Rangasthalam, which is Ram Charan's best performance to date along with the recent RRR.

Also, Jagapathi Babu was seen alongside Jr NTR in Sukumar's 'Nannaku Prematho.' In both these films, Jagapathi Babu played the antagonist's role. Now that the actor joined the team of Pushpa 2, fans are expecting blockbuster scenes between these lead actors.

Upon confirming the news, Jagapathi Babu said, "It is lovely to associate with Pushpa 2 and Allu Arjun, who is one of my favourite actors of this generation. I am looking forward to working with a genius like Sukumar again."

Pushpa 2 Cast

Along with Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, the movie stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead opposite Allu Arjun. Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Ajay, Shatru, Brahmaji, and Mime Gopi among others in pivotal roles. The rumours also suggest Vijay Thalapathai is also part of the movie. However, it is confirmed that Jagapathi Babu will play an important role in Pushpa 2.

Pushpa 2 AKA Pushpa: The Rule Crew

Most of the technicians who worked on Pushpa: The Rise is reprising their responsibilities as the team. Miroslaw Kuba Brozek is cranking the camera for the sequel. Karthika Srinivas and Ruben are together taking care of the film's editing. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad is busy composing remarkable background scores and tunes for the film. We all know what the trio has done before and it is quite exciting to await the audio of Pushpa 2.

Pushpa 2 is the production venture of Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchali Ravi Shankar of the Mythri Movie Makers banner in association with Muttamsetty Media. The sequel is being made on a whopping budget of about Rs 300- Rs 350 Crore. The first part was made on a budget of about Rs 250 Crore and it earned somewhere around Rs 373 Crore at the box office worldwide.
