The actor, who rose to international stardom by portraying the role of freedom fighter's character Alluri Seetarama Raju in SS Rajamouli directorial, is a much sought-after actor. In fact, Varisu, which marked Tamil super star Thalapathy Vijay's Tollywood debut, was first offered to Ram Charan, who couldn't adjust his dates. Out of 14 films Ram Charan has done so far, 3 of them stood out as all-time industry hits. He debuted in the year 2007 with Puri Jagannadh's 'Chirutha.' Later, his second film was with SS Rajamouli, 'Magadheera', which surpassed the industry records that were on Mahesh Babu for 'Pokiri.' Magadheera marked the first industry-hit in Ram Charan's career. Later, in 2019, Ram Charan scored such a massive hit on the lines of Magadheera in the form of Rangasthalam, under the direction of Sukumar B. Meanwhile, Ram Charan reeled under several flops except Dhruva, Nayak and Yevadu. His Govindudu Andarivadele remained an average grosser at the ticket windows. His previous films, Orange, Zanjeer, Bruce Lee, Vinaya Vidheya Rama were box office failures.
